Robert Estcourt joined Brookvine in 2003, as an Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Brookvine, Robert’s career spanned 18 years at AMP, Australia’s largest institutional investor. Robert was appointed to a number of executive roles at AMP, including Director of AMP Asset Management (Australia), in which he contributed to the strong improvement in investment performance in the years 1992-98. As Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at AMP, Robert successfully completed the sales of many of AMP’s international operations at the time of AMP’s demerger. He managed the GIO merger and subsequent run-off of that company’s reinsurance portfolio; one of the largest run-off portfolios in the world at that time.

Robert has also held the position of CEO, Retail Cube Group, a listed specialist retail company. In addition to Brookvine, Robert maintains several senior advisory roles in financial services and is a Governor of the Woolcock Institute.

Robert holds a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) in Economics from the University of Cape Town and a Master of Arts in Finance from the University of Exeter.
