BCS Capital Pty Limited (BCS) is an independent Australian equities manager that is owned by its Directors, executive staff and Brookvine Pty Limited. It was established in 2007 and combines a team of former senior Barclays Global Investors (BGI) funds managers, former McKinsey & Company industrial strategists and applied econometricians. BCS offers a range of long only and long-short strategies to wholesale and institutional clients.
BCS capitalises on the market’s slow response to changes in information on the fundamental profit drivers of individual companies. It combines elements of a fundamental approach – in identifying each company’s fundamental profit drivers – with the advantages of rigorous quantitative implementation. The investment process does not have any systemic style bias and is equally adaptable to long only and long-short investing.
Key members of the investment team include Justin Herlihy and John Bowers, both formerly of BGI, and John Stuckey, formerly Australian Managing Partner of McKinsey & Company.
